McCarthyizm, born before "alternative" became a marketing term, is known for blending '60s garage rock, '80s underground, and Celtic influences with strong melodies and raucous rhythms. Hailing from Buffalo, the band has performed across the Northeast and shared stages with acts like Goo Goo Dolls, 10,000 Maniacs, and Great Big Sea, delivering high-energy performances that promise a good time, every time.

Crikwater, conceived in a late-night, Guinness-fueled campfire session in South Buffalo in 2010, has become Western New York’s premier Irish-American Traditional Folk Band. Known for their energetic live shows and multi-instrumentalists, they blend Irish and American folk traditions with contemporary flair, offering multi-part vocal harmonies and intricate musicianship. Equally comfortable in pubs, theaters, and festivals like the Buffalo Irish Festival and Niagara Celtic Festival, Crikwater’s performances range from fiery fiddle tunes to rowdy pub sing-alongs, conjuring scenes of gritty Irish pubs and good craic!
