Formed in 2001 in Rochester, NY, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad (GPGDS) seamlessly blends reggae rhythms, world beats, and jam band dynamics into a vibrant and genre-defying sound. Known for their electrifying live performances, the band has earned accolades from fans and critics alike, with Live For Live Music calling them, “…one of the most innovative and genre-pushing reggae bands out there.” Over two decades, GPGDS has released six diverse studio albums, including Steady and Make It Better, both of which topped the Billboard Reggae Chart. Their newest album, Love In Time, showcases a groundbreaking collaborative approach, featuring guest artists like Clinton Fearon, The Movement, and Anthony B, and the production expertise of Zion I Kings, Alborosie, and Danny Kalb. With a lineup of accomplished musicians—James Searl (bass, vocals), Dylan Savage (guitar, vocals), Chris O’Brian (drums, vocals), Eli Flynn (guitar, vocals), and Tony Gallicchio (keys)—Giant Panda continues to push musical boundaries while staying true to their dynamic roots.
Sawa Sawa Band is a dynamic musical collective founded by renowned percussionists Salma Omar and Ahmed Homaida, celebrated for their work with Drum Circle Sudan. The ensemble brings together a diverse group of writers, artists, composers, musicians, and singers, creating a harmonious tapestry that transcends boundaries and celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Sudan. Their music incorporates influences from Amazigh Tuareg to West African drumming, Ethiopian modes, Sudanese reggae, and jazz, resulting in a mesmerizing sonic journey that embraces the continent’s vibrant rhythms and melodies . 
The band’s name, “Sawa Sawa,” translates to “All Together” in Sudanese, reflecting their mission to promote unity and peace through music. Their performances are a celebration of shared heritage and a call for harmony, resonating with audiences seeking a soulful and uplifting experience.
